    Hillary Johnson

    Albany Half & Full Marathon

Hillary is celebrating her fourth season as the Fleet Feet Distance Project’s half-marathon coach.  Upon completing her undergrad in Sports Medicine at Missouri State, Hillary went on to pursue her master’s in Health and Human Movement as a Utah State Aggie.  Growing up with two ultramarathoners as parents, it was no surprise that Hillary began running at an early age.  After testing out other distances in both cross country and track & field, she found a true love for long distance running.

    Mark Mindel

    Malta Half & Full Marathon

Mark is eager to start his fourth season as a Fleet Feet Distance Program half and full marathon coach.  It is hard to find anyone who loves the sport of running more than Mark in the Capital District.  Coming from an education and coaching background spanning over twenty years, Mark has established a lifetime of accolades which speak to his abilities nurturing runners of all types.  At Averill Park High School, Mark had the privilege to coach his cross country team to seven Section 2 and three NYS Class B titles, along with producing three high school All-Americans.  Outside of school, he has run thirteen marathons, including a personal best (2:26:33) which won him the 1979 Montreal Marathon.  He also has not only not missed running a single Stockade-athon but is also credited as being the founding of the Capital District’s largest 15k.

    Cody Netzband

    Albany Half & Full Marathon

Cody is starting his fourth season as a Fleet Feet Distance Project coach.  As a former educator, Cody has had a hand in instructing a multitude of individuals for the past six years.  As he completed his undergraduate at SUNY Oswego, Cody competed at the varsity level on both the men’s cross country and track & field teams.  While not coaching, you can find him at weekly Fleet Feet Running Club meet-ups as well as local races.

    Molly Wellman

    Albany Beginner 5k

Molly does not remember a time she wasn't running around the Capital District. She competed in cross-country and track at Schenectady Christian School under excellent coaches, including her own talented mother, and credits them with the bulk of her current knowledge about the sport of running. She went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Art in History. After moving back to the Albany area with her husband, she became an assistant track and field coach at her former high school before attending graduate school at The College of Saint Rose. While at Saint Rose she cometed for the cross-country and indoor track teams, gaining invaluable experience at the NCAA Division II level. Molly has been an employee at Fleet Feet Sports Albany since 2012, earning her USATF Level 1 certification in that time, and has worked with the beginner 5k training program in varying roles.
